New referral program, Data for Good launch, and SWASH verification bonus!

Data for Good isn’t the only new update for the Swash app. The new release, which is now live, includes a Profile section, a hot new referral program, bug fixes and other anti-fraud measures, an updated privacy policy, and a History tab for you to monitor your actions!

Tell Swash you’re real by verifying your profile!

As part of Swash’s anti-fraud measures, the Swash app now includes a Profile section where you can verify your email, phone number, and share basic information about yourself.

It’s important for the health of the Swash Data Union that only real members are compensated, which is why the Profile section has been introduced. It’s your space to introduce yourself to Swash and to prove you’re not a bot.

❗️ Withdrawals

Everyone is able to withdraw their SWASH Earnings but only those who verify their profile can claim their SWASH Rewards.

If you haven’t already claimed your rewards earned before September 15 2022 by September 22 2022, they will be automatically withdrawn for you (and added to your ‘SWASH Earnings’).

Web 3 Philanthropy: Meet Data for Good

Data for Good is a donations feature available within the Swash app which enables members to automatically donate the value of their data to a social good organisation of their choice. It’s now live and available to all Swash Data Union members.

Once installed, Swash allows people to earn for the value of their data as they browse, without having to do anything differently. This ease of use is crucial for adoption which is why the donations feature should be equally as frictionless.

The Data for Good feature allows you to search and browse the list of charities, filter by relevant tags, and determine whether you want to make a one-off donation or set up a recurring one with a percentage of your Swash earnings each month.

5 SWASH for every new friend you bring

The magic of Swash is that it centres on redistributing the value of data back to those who create it. Data is unique in the sense that, the more of it there is, the more valuable it becomes. Especially if that data is high-quality and given straight from the individual (a.k.a. zero-party) like Swash’s data.

To continue growing the Swash movement, you can invite your friends to Swash to up your earnings even more! Simply share your referral link with them so they can join. The current referral program is as follows:

• 5 SWASH for every successful referral (successful = when the referee is active for a minimum of 30 days)
• 2000 SWASH for the person who invites the most friends each month

The referral program is live until the end of September.

Updated Privacy Policy

Finally, as the verification process requires Data Union members to share some added information, the Swash privacy policy has also been updated.
